Many doctors and scientists suggest taking folic acid for men as it minimizes the risks of erectile dysfunction. They recommend it as it improves blood flow and dilation of vessels, thus help in erectile function.
Dr. Rena Malik, M.D, Urologist, suggests that taking folic acid plays an important role in the production of nitric oxide, as “it’s essentially the ignition of your erections”. Thus, folic acid helps improve erection and decrease erectile dysfunction (ED).
Further research is yet to be done to ensure the benefit of folic acid for reducing erectile dysfunction. Required dosages may vary from one person to another and should always be consulted with a doctor in order to review each person’s case.
