I knew nothing about hypnosis when a psychiatrist - an unquestioned authority at this time in my career - told me: “Hypnosis should never be used with a depressed person!”, and it never occurred to me that he might be wrong.

In this video I'll explain why he was wrong in his assertion on using hypnosis for treating depression, and I'll describe a few common features that hypnosis and depression share.
