Dr. David Samadi - Vitamin D Deficiency & Sexual Dysfunction
September 2016
Dr. David Samadi discusses a recent publication by journal of atherosclerosis about the relationship between vitamin D deficiency & sexual dysfunction. Aggressive prostate cancer, colon cancer, Parkinson’s & many other disease are already connected to lack of vitamin D.
Vitamin D levels were checked in men who did not get a firm erection good enough to have intercourse & 30% were found to be deficient in vitamin D.
Dr. Samadi states that urologists & men’s health experts may immediately prescribe medication for sexual dysfunction but the answer could be recommending adequate consumption of vitamin D.
In cities like New York where men are not exposed to enough sunlight, Dr. Samadi recommends consuming vitamin D rich food such as Salmon & eggs or taking a vitamin D supplement.
