Because they affect the same area of the body, sometimes women can be unsure whether they have a urine infection or a yeast infection.

A UTI is a bacterial infection found in urine caused by E. Coli bacteria, but yeast infections are caused by a moist buildup of the candida fungus. Because of this difference, both the infections are diagnosed and treated differently. UTIs are diagnosed through urine tests and treated with antibiotics. Whereas swab tests help diagnose yeast infections and antifungal medication treats them.

Normally to get a UTI test you have to see your GP and wait days for your results. But now there’s an easier way with the Velieve test kit, it’s a really simple four-step process:
- Order the test kit which will be delivered to your home
- Test yourself by using the Velieve app
- Receive a diagnosis from an online doctor based on your results and symptoms
- If needed, you will be able to get treatment sent from a local pharmacy to your door. It’s never been so simple.
