Healthy Fats to Eat for Better Skin | For glowing healthy skin, our nutrition plays an important factor in our appearance. Good news is that healthy fats are amazing for our skin. Here are my top 6 healthy fats that you should incorporate into your diet. 

1. Omega 3s
Omega-3s like oily fish, walnuts, flax seeds and chia seeds help slow down the aging process and restore moisture to dry skin. Omega-3s help heal and reduce inflammation underneath the skin’s surface.

2. Avocado 
One of my favorite healthy fats is avocado. Avocados are high in vitamin E (a nutrient that stimulates the skin’s collagen production), as well as antioxidants, which help to eliminate toxins from the body. 

3. Coconut Oil 
Coconut oil is a great way to get those beauty-boosting essential fats with fewer calories than any other fat source. Coconut oil has immune-boosting properties and is anti-viral and anti-fungal. It’s easy to digest. It’s especially beneficial to those who suffer from candida or fungal infections, which can lead to acne and skin irritations. 

4. Brazil Nuts
Studies have shown selenium rich brazil nuts, can help protect against skin cancer, sun damage and age spots. Also know to help skin problems like acne, wrinkles and dry skin.

5. Eggs
Eggs might not be for everyone but whole eggs are actually loaded with vitamins and minerals. One large egg has less than 5 grams of fat and is packed with protein. Eggs are high in Vitamins A and D and can protect your skin from damage and aid weight loss. 

6. Dark chocolate 
I love how dark chocolate is on this list because I have a sweet tooth! Go for dark chocolate at least 70% cacao. A powerful source of antioxidants, increases skin density and hydration, and the fatty acid profile of cocoa and dark chocolate is excellent.
