A bloated belly may be an indication of stomach and intestinal gas in addition to being overweight. Bloating is a natural consequence of the normal digestion process. However, for some people this may be extremely uncomfortable and embarrassing as the distension becomes clearly visible.
Digestion is a sensitive process prone to changes in daily life. When you are sleep deprived, under stress or you change your medications you may suffer some sort of bloating.
In most cases bloating is not a thing to be worried about. Simple dietary changes can be more than enough to get rid of bloating. However, there are also some cases that requires a doctor's attention. Lactose intolerance, irritable bowel syndrome or upper gastrointestinal disorders have an impact on digestion and may lead to bloating.
