Psoriasis

Psoriasis is a chronic non-contagious hereditary skin condition. In this condition the skin cells grow faster than normal & deposit themselves on outermost layer of the skin. This abnormal behavior leads to presence of red scaly patches on the skin.

Food groups to consume in psoriasis disease:

1. Antioxidant, Vitamin A & C: They control inflammation & 
    accelerate healing

Foods to consume: Tomatoes, carrots, beetroot, spinach, broccoli, red bell peppers, pumpkin and fruits like oranges, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and grapes 


2. Soy & soy products: Contain isoflavones which help reduce 
     inflammation


3. Omega 3: It has anti-inflammatory properties

Foods to consume: Flaxseeds, walnuts, salmon, tuna & sardines
