Colitis:

• Colitis is the inflammation of the colon, which is a part of the digestive system
• The condition first attacks the lower part of the colon
• Sometimes, it causes ulcers on the colon walls

Symptoms to look for:

• Diarrhoea
• Pain in the abdomen
• Blood in stool
• Weakness
• Fever
• Vomiting
• Nausea
• Loss of appetite
• Anaemia

Causes:

• Constipation
• Prolonged intake of antibiotics
• Food allergy
• Stress
• Side-effects of certain medicine

Natural home remedy using aloe vera:

1. Peel off the outer skin of few aloe vera leaves
2. Remove aloe vera gel from inside
3. Add 3 tbsp gel to 1 glass lukewarm water
4. Mix well
5. Drink it once in the morning and once at night

Natural home remedy using drumsticks, coconut water and honey:

1. Boil 4-5 drumsticks in water
2. Peel off their skins
3. Crush them to paste
4. Press the paste on a sieve and extract the juice
5. Take 1 glass coconut water
6. Add to it the drumstick juice
7. Add 1 tsp honey
8. Mix well
9. Drink once a day

Tips:

• Eat 1-2 bananas a day. Bananas reduce the colon irritation
