December 2021
I've been silently suffering from chronic fatigue for 6 years and over this period my physical and mental health has deteriorated. It started in 2016 with pains in my feet when walking, like crushed glass in the soles of my feet and an energy slump so bad in the afternoon, I could sleep standing up.
It progressed over the years to pains in my joints, hip, pelvis, elbows, lower back, and worsening energy deficit to the point where I could not work after lunch time in any day. It was like having an energy budget, when I have to decide every day if I want to expend my valuable budget of energy on physical activity or mental activity, knowing that I couldn't do both.
In 2020 after lockdown, my health deteriorated further and I started to get heart palpitations and had to stop going to the gym because I kept thinking I was going to have a heart attack.
4 weeks ago, a friend mentioned energy budget and we share our stories, he explained some of the symptoms he had, and how he got in control of some of his back pain and pain in the soles of his feet very recently by taking a heavy dose of Vitamin D.
I've since started to take 40,000 IU of Vitamin D3 per week for a 7 week course, and now in week 4, my energy levels are now back to about 80%+ of what they were 10 years ago and I feel 25 years younger.
If you know someone who is suffering from Chronic Fatigue, it might be worth getting their Vitamin D levels checked or maybe pick up a supplement from your local pharmacy and see if you feel any better in a few days.
While I believe that I would have gotten the same result from any brand of Vitamin D3 - I get my Vitamin D3 supplement from Vitabiotics - Ultra Vitamin D 3000 IU (D3 75 microgram)
